There is no denying that COVID-19 shook the aviation from the ground up. Many businesses dependant on aviation had to downsize or change their plans immensely to stay in the industry. MRO businesses are not different and are already seeing a chain of changes affecting both customers and providers.

Commercial Airlines and Business Jet operators are the most important and profitable customers to any overhaul or maintenance services provider. Currently, these clients due to the pandemic have grounded most of their fleets, which means that mostly periodic checks for parked aircraft will be in demand.

These days’ airlines are exploring MRO providers who are focused on efficiency and optimization. This kind of MROs are able to offer their services at a competitive price while retaining the high quality of services.

CEO of European private and regional aircraft MRO Jet Maintenance Solutions Vytis Zalimas commented on the topic: “Jet Maintenance Solutions is built on principles of client satisfaction, sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Every day our teams try to come up with new ways of optimizing our operations. LEAN system implemented across whole Avia Solutions Group has benefited us greatly. By letting our workers suggest changes through Kaizen, that improve our efficiency, we cut down time expenditure at every step possible, while still maintaining highest possible quality and safety ratings. These time savings allow us to offer our clients quality at a reasonable price. We do believe that even after the pandemic, MROs which can maintain highest standards at a lowest price will be the ones to see long-term gains.”

Jet Maintenance Solutions believes that in the future due to currently changing view of the industry, MRO providers delivering quality at a reasonable price will win the business, pushing slowly-advancing providers to adjust their operations and optimize pricing. As one of the few highest rated and client focused MROs in the world Jet MS is continuing to support all operators around the globe, providing high quality, fast and cost-efficient aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions.

Thus, a question arises: what will be considered a reasonable price for MRO services?
