Platoon Aviation signed a purchase agreement with Textron Aviation for multiple Cessna Citation Longitude business jets. With this order, Platoon Aviation is set to become the largest Citation Longitude fleet operator in Europe. The new super-midsize aircraft are expected to enter service beginning in early 2027, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth journey. The aircraft will complement Platoon Aviation's established light jet fleet, further solidifying the organization's position as a leading provider of premium on-demand charter travel.
Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, Textron Aviation commented: “From performance and cabin experience to the strength of our global support network, the Citation Longitude provides charter operators with the confidence to grow their fleets and serve customers at the highest level. This agreement with Platoon Aviation underscores the Longitude’s leadership in the super-midsize segment and the trust customers place in Cessna and our team.”
Deniz Weißenborn, CEO, Platoon Aviation, stated: "Platoon Aviation is redefining what business aviation can look like in the next decade. The Citation Longitude fleet expansion reflects our commitment to building a future-proof, next-generation aviation platform that combines operational efficiency, sustainability and uncompromising comfort. These aircraft position us to meet the evolving expectations of modern travelers while giving our clients greater flexibility, reliability and connectivity across Europe and beyond."
Purpose-built for both passenger comfort and operational excellence, the Citation Longitude sets a new benchmark in its class. Passengers benefit from the quietest cabin in the super-midsize segment - stand-up flat-floor cabin at 1.83 meters (6 feet) tall - with a thoughtfully configured interior featuring a divan and six fully berthable seats for up to nine passengers in ultimate comfort. The aircraft's extended range alsoenables a dedicated cabin service member to be on board, elevating the in-flight experience to new heights.
Cessna Citation Longitude' combination of performance, spacious cabin and extended range makes it ideally suited to meet the evolving needs of Platoon's discerning clientele. The aircraft will enable seamless nonstop connections across Europe, from Hamburg to Madrid, London to Dubai, and Dublin to Athens. Each aircraft will feature Platoon Aviation's signature livery, with a cabin interior designed to reflect the refined atmosphere and design language of the existing fleet. The new aircraft will also be operated in a floating fleet model across Europe and hotspots in the Middle East.
The Longitude is equally designed around the pilot experience. Its ergonomically optimized cockpit, with easier access and a crew-first layout, ensures maximum comfort and operational efficiency on every flight.
