Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik have renewed their cooperation with a long‑term agreement extending comprehensive component support for the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A320ceo/neo fleets through 2035. The contract reinforces a partnership that has already delivered more than three decades of successful technical collaboration.
The extended agreement ensures extensive component pool access and supply services, enabling Uzbekistan Airways to secure rapid availability of critical spare parts and sustain high operational reliability across its network. This renewed commitment underscores Lufthansa Technik’s role in supporting the carrier’s fleet modernization and growth strategy over the coming decade.
Shukhrat Khudaykulov, the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways commented: “Over the past three decades, Lufthansa Technik has proven to be a reliable and trusted partner for Uzbekistan Airways. As demand for air travel continues to grow and Uzbekistan further expands its role as an aviation hub in Central Asia, this agreement provides important support for our fleet modernization and expansion plans. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration and building on the success of our partnership.”

Dr. Christian Leifeld, Chief Financial Officer of Lufthansa Technik stated: “This agreement reflects the exceptional partnership we have built with Uzbekistan Airways over more than 30 years. Extending our collaboration until 2035 is a strong testament to the mutual trust and fruitful cooperation between our companies. We are proud to continue supporting the airline’s Boeing 787 and Airbus A320 fleets as Uzbekistan Airways advances its growth and modernization strategy. Lufthansa Technik remains fully committed to delivering the reliability, expertise and long-term support required for the airline’s continued success.”
Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik have cultivated a trusted partnership since 1993, when the airline introduced its first Airbus A310‑300. Over the past three decades, this relationship has been defined by mutual reliability, technical expertise, and a shared commitment to operational excellence, with Lufthansa Technik consistently supporting the carrier’s evolving fleet and operational needs to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality service delivery across its network.
As Uzbekistan Airways advances its fleet renewal and expansion strategy, the airline is investing in modern, fuel‑efficient aircraft to meet rising passenger demand and reinforce connectivity between Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia‑Pacific region. This forward‑looking approach positions the carrier for sustained growth and enhanced competitiveness in the decade ahead.
