An All Nippoon Airways (NH) flight bound for Tokyo Narita returned to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) Monday morning after a bird strike, according to a source familiar with the matter.

The flight crew reported that the left engine was struck by a bird shortly after taking off from Guangzhou airport and required to return the aircraft to Guangzhou immediately.
