Ellinair, the Greek airline, has chosen AJW Aviation to provide full power-by-the-hour services for its A320 aircraft. AJW Leasing will also site main base kit at its operational headquarters in Macedonia International Airport in Thessaloniki.

Since the company’s launch in 2013, Ellinair has rapidly expanded its route network, connecting mainland Greece and the Greek Islands with Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Latvia, Georgia and its latest destination, Turkey. AJW’s long-established logistics support system throughout these regions is important to Ellinair as the airline plans to fast-track its modernisation programme and increase its fleet of Airbus A320s to five aircraft within two years.

AJW has strategic hubs of commercial Airbus and Boeing spares across Russia, Kazakhstan, the Baltics, and the Mediterranean, to support a wide range of power-by-the-hour contracts, and to sustain the Company’s award-winning 24/7/365 AOG service. Colin Craig, Commercial Director – AJW Aviation, attributes this solid support network as a crucial factor in Ellinair’s decision to partner with AJW Aviation. “Our relationship with European carriers of all sizes is underpinned by the measureable value for money and excellent customer service that is embodied within an AJW flexible power-by-the-hour agreement. As Ellinair grows the operation and expands its route network, it knows it can rely upon AJW to deliver the dispatch reliability that will nurture its reputation and enhance the brand.”

Serving a global customer base of more than 1,000 airlines in 115 different countries, AJW is the ideal partner for airlines and MRO organisations requiring fully integrated support solutions to help achieve competitive advantage. With a global fleet of over 1,000 aircraft under contract, AJW provides a wide range of component coverage options, expert advice and recommendations on minimising home base stock requirements, and world class logistics.
