Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) today jointly announced that the companies have changed the first flight schedule of the first flight test aircraft of the MRJ(Mitsubishi Regional Jet), their next-generation regional jet, because of the need for repair of its rudder pedal.

The first flight, which was originally scheduled to take place between October 26 (Monday) and 30 (Friday), is now scheduled to take place during the week of November 9, 2015. Further announcement will be made one day before the first flight.

Pre-flight review board by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism are scheduled for early next week for gaining flight approval. Following approval, high-speed taxiing tests and evaluations will be performed in preparation for the first flight.
