Babcock International Group has completed the acquisition of Heli Aviation, a provider of helicopter services in Germany. The new company will sit within Babcock’s mission critical services (MCS) business.

Heli Aviation is a long-established helicopter business located in Augsburg – one of Germany’s traditional aviation industry regions. With more than seven years’ experience in the helicopter industry Heli Aviation operates more than 11 helicopters.

The business specialises in human relief missions for non-governmental organisations and government agencies to deliver food, medical supplies, doctors, patients and rescue teams to remote places. Heli Aviation also operates MEDEVAC services, aerial work and aircraft maintenance and provides training solutions.

Babcock said in a statement: “This acquisition strengthens Babcock’s geographical profile and provides Heli Aviation with the organizational capability, resources and know-how to allow it to continue to grow and develop its operations.”

This week Babcock was rebranded from its former name Bond.
