The CARIBAVIA Alliance approach—starting with summits, then evolving into a Caribbean Airlift Council

An independent source recently compared three potential future aviation/airline models for the entire Caribbean. The conclusion was as follows:

The CARIBAVIA Alliance approach—starting with summits, then evolving into a Caribbean Airlift Council, training institute, and knowledge hub—has the highest likelihood of sustainable success. It balances feasibility, stakeholder engagement, and a strategic pathway toward deeper integration, making it the strongest candidate to advance Caribbean aviation.

The CARIBAVIA Model represents the most promising and feasible path:

·      Addresses systemic issues via coordination, training, and infrastructure.

·      Builds trust and shared vision among stakeholders before committing to deeper integration.

·      Allows incremental progress, beginning with summits and growing into education and coordination bodies.

·      Ideal springboard for either virtual alliance growth or future partial merger based on proven collaboration.

(the CARIBAVIA Alliance approach is based on the CARIBAVIA VISION of Cdr.Bud Slabbaert).
