Air Charter Expo Regional Europe set for first appearance at AERO Friedrichshafen 2027
AERO 2027 (April 14–17) saw the formal announcement of Air Charter Expo Regional – Europe by show organisers The Air Charter Association and Business Air News, made during ACE26 at London Biggin Hill Airport on 8 September. The reveal was a standout moment for the UK event, which surpassed its previous attendance record with more than 2,100 visitors from 62 countries and a fully booked aircraft static display.
Glenn Hogben, Chief Executive of The Air Charter Association commented: “We are delighted to be debuting our first Air Charter Expo Regional - Europe at AERO 2027 in Germany with a dedicated two and a half days of networking and educational workshops for the air charter community. This is a great opportunity for our growing, global membership.” Tobias Bretzel, Show Director of AERO at Fairnamic GmbH added: “Bringing together two established and growing event brands during April 14 to 16, 2027, builds on a terrific first collaboration this Spring at AERO 2026.”
The ACE show began at Cambridge Airport as The Business and General Aviation Day (BGAD), built on the promise to “pack three days into one.” Since moving to London Biggin Hill in 2015 and adopting its current name, it has expanded substantially. Brad Wright, ACE Show Sales Manager at Business Air News, described the new partnership with AERO Friedrichshafen as a “natural, complementary fit for business aviation.” Visitors to ACE Regional – Europe will benefit from a dedicated entrance and exclusive space in Hall A1 and The Dome, with a premium conference stage matching the high standard established at ACE.
AERO 2027 exhibitors have now surpassed 300, with strong representation from business aviation and helicopter OEMs. Speaking at Biggin Hill, Tobias Bretzel noted that his team reached 306 confirmed exhibitors during ACE26, including major manufacturers such as Dassault Aviation, Bombardier and Robinson Helicopters. AERO 2027 is also projecting a robust aircraft presence, with an anticipated 50 to 70 business aircraft on display: "We are on our way to registering a total 900 exhibitors with a range of space options available. Business aviation, this collaboration with The ACA and other partners onboarding, will not be to the detriment of the Show’s general aviation legacy. For example, we are celebrating the return of the glider community this year, in Hall B5.” AERO Friedrichshafen will continue as a four-day event through to April 17th."
AERO 27 will deliver regular communications updates as the show progresses, with ongoing coverage of exhibitor developments, conference themes and key highlights provided through its new communications partner, Emerald Media. Emerald joins Volker Thomalla, Head of Communication Aerospace Portfolio, alongside an expanded AERO marketing team. Prospective exhibitors for AERO 2027 are encouraged to secure their usual booth locations promptly, as interest for next year’s edition is already exceptionally strong.
